Eagle Rock
Between Glendale and Pasadena, at the foot of the San Rafael Hills.
A small town with the city all around it.
Eagle Rock sits in a valley, with the hills rising right behind the rooftops. Colorado Boulevard is the heart of it: coffee shops, restaurants, and independent stores where people actually know each other's names. Off the boulevard, the streets get quiet, the trees get older, and the houses start climbing into the hills.
It was its own city once, and it still feels that way. I'm Breanne Wahl, a real estate agent with ACME | SERHANT., and I sell homes here in Eagle Rock.

a few Places Within
Colorado Boulevard
The main street, and the reason a lot of people fall for Eagle Rock. Restaurants, coffee, and small shops, with the 1922 City Hall and the old Carnegie library still standing along it.
Around Occidental
The streets near Occidental College's campus, in the neighborhood since 1914, are leafy and residential, with the college's hillside campus as a backdrop.
Eagle Rock Boulevard
The neighborhood's other main artery, running south toward Glassell Park, with its own mix of restaurants, shops, and everyday errands.
The Hills
Streets that climb into the San Rafael Hills, with more privacy and views. Some get steep and narrow, so I always walk buyers through access and parking before they fall in love.

Buying and selling in Eagle Rock: FAQ
What is Eagle Rock known for?
Its namesake boulder, Occidental College, and Colorado Boulevard, the main street lined with restaurants, coffee shops, and independent stores. It's a hillside neighborhood in Northeast Los Angeles with tree-lined streets and homes from the 1910s and 1920s onward.
Where is the actual Eagle Rock?

Yes. Eagle Rock incorporated as its own city in 1911 and was annexed to Los Angeles in 1923, largely for its water supply and a high school.
What should I know before buying a home in Eagle Rock?
Many homes here are on hillsides or are close to 100 years old. I always walk buyers through foundations and drainage, permits on any additions, and fire zone rules for the exact address, and I'll tell you which inspections are worth it for that specific house.
How do you get around from Eagle Rock?
Colorado Boulevard and Eagle Rock Boulevard are the main streets, and the Glendale Freeway (2) and Ventura Freeway (134) run along the neighborhood's edges, so Glendale, Pasadena, and downtown Los Angeles are all close.
